Ben Gin Self Portrait.

The self portrait has always fascinating to Ben Gin as painters of every age. Portraits in general began as a mark of high society as producing a realistic portrait alone is difficult for an artisan to produce, so only the wealthy could afford them. Today producing a portrait of one self is worthless, but achieving -say- a position on a magazine cover is the new (already antiquated) version of that same level of prestige. These ideas inspired this large portrait in this style of editorial magazine style piece.
